Gualtiero: La Griselda / Teatro La Fenice 2022
Jorge Navarro Colorado was a creditable and credible Gualtiero with a nice smooth tenor.”

“His voice possesses a pleasing timbre that he is able to employ intelligently and with versatility, which he displayed from the outset with a successful rendition of his opening aria “Se ria procella sorge dall’onda.””

Arias for Ballino / London Handel Festival 2021
“Tall and distinguished-looking, he cut a striking figure and was adept at using his face to complement the expressivity of his singing. His voice has a fine, strong middle which seems very necessary in this music (Fabri’s range was from B to a’) where a lot of the busier passages sat, but Navarro Colorado also has a lovely free top. We were able to be dazzled by his singing, be amazed by the crazy music but never did we have to worry about whether he would make it. All was free and easy.:

Lurcanio: Ariodante / Göttingen Festival 2021
“Jorge Navarro Colorado has a charming, mellifluous timbre…His character is presented in a wide range of situations, from Dalinda’s hopeless lover (in the drama and sensual ‘Del mio sol vezzosi rai’ to the revenge-thirsty brother (‘Il tuo sangue,’ punctuated by long coloratura lines, brilliantly articulated, revealing an impressive breath control, and warmly applauded). What touched us most was his duet with Dalinda. Let us note also the singer’s stage presence, and the expressive body language of his tall, svelte figure.”

“The bright, distinctive tenor of Jorge Navarro Colorado was very beautiful as Lurcanio.”

Berengario: Lotario / Accent CD
“Jorge Navarro Colorado gets around rapid triplet fiortiture superbly in Beregnario’s bitter reaction to his defeat (“Regno e grandezza”), and his awakening penitence is admirably euphonious (“Vi sento, sì”).
Gramophone
“The show is stolen by Jorge Navarro Colorado. As Berengario, the Spanish tenor is far superior to Steve Davislim, with a flexibility that is never forced and with agile coloratura and an easy high register. Without a doubt, he is the revelation of this recording and one to be watched.”

Giuliano: Rodrigo / Göttingen Festival 2019
“Among the men, tenor Jorge Navarro Colorado presents a Giuliano, initially successful as a soldier, then as a brother and rebel, and finally a wily winner of his territory. Tall of stature, his gestures are well-controlled and his stage presence (already noted in the 2017 production of Lotario at Göttingen) is mesmerising. His diction is clear and precise, and his easy projection gives him a noble panache. His vocal production remains very flexible, including when he is engaged in violent acts and: his “Stragi, morti,” whose ambitious ornaments are taken up by the oboes, while he overturns the sofa and breaks the furniture, resonates as one of the strongest moments of the performance, an impressive dramatic and vocal number, deserving our applause. Let us also not forget his enchanting “Fra le spine” at the beginning of the second act, and the brilliant panache of his “Spirti fieri,” which opens the third act.”
